La Central

The Bronx, NY

A new paradigm of equitable and sustainable urbanism in the South Bronx

A neighborhood within a neighborhood, La Central is a five-building, multi-phase 1.2 million square foot development slated to transform a large expanse of vacant land into much-needed quality affordable housing. When complete, the project will bring 992 homes, 80,000 square feet of community facility space, 45,000 square feet of retail, a public skatepark, a roof-mounted telescope and astronomy lab operated by the Bronx High School of Science and a diversity of new outdoor spaces to the South Bronx.
